Margot Smith has been dancing vintage swing dances since 2008 and is the current director of Quinte West’s vintage swing dance studio Margot Smith Dance. In class she emphasizes incusion, respect, and fun. She challenges dancers to develop their dance still sets and to explore their individual dance personality. Margot strives to empower dancers to reach their dance goals, whatever they may be, and to have to have the confidence to take on these challenges.

Vintage swing dancing isn’t everyone’s thing, but we want to offer a place for you to explore these styles of dances comfortably where you can invite friends to challenge themselves and learn something new.

If, however, vintage swing dancing is your thing and you dream it, triple step when you walk, and have more vintage clothes than modern, we also want to ensure you have ample opportunities to enjoy your passion within a supportive community and are continually challenged in a way that is right for you. We strive to achieve this through quality learning environments, exposure to diverse dance repertoires, and by encouraging dancers to take the initiative by getting involved and helping to form the types of dance experiences they seek.

Lessons

1 P.M. – Solo Jazz
2 P.M. – Level 1 Lindy Hop (You must register with a partner)
3 P.M. – Private Lessons

Pay-as-you-go: $15/class
Lesson Card: $120 for 10 classes (save $30)
Private lessons: $60/hour

Payment is accepted in cash or E-transfer. We are not responsible for lost or damaged lesson cards.
